Intro To Calling The Shots

Hi everybody!

Welcome to my new blog site called Calling The Shots With Reid Urban. I can't wait to start this new venture into an exciting new field of interest.

In this blog post, I'll be giving a daily view on the world at large and whether or not I agree with certain issues and stances that other people may have. This may include social issues, sports issues, political ideas, etc. The thing is, there's a lot of news out there to read and to process, and here, I call the shots with the ideas and the opinion that you should be looking at. Hence the name Calling The Shots.

Now, I know what you're all thinking: I'm just one voice in the millions of voices that have an opinion on anybody and everything. And while that's true, I also try to be a voice that stands out from the rest, to put accountability to the people that deserve it, and to praise those who have done well and have served their community not only in this great country, but also in other places around the world. And does that mean I would agree with them? No. It just means I'm trying to give voice to all issues on both sides of the spectrum.

Now we know there's plenty of news to talk about on a daily basis, whether that be President Trump's new bills to drive out the lower middle class or the inability of Congress to get anything done, or even the issues that matter to you at home, like minimum wage or parenthood or anything else you can think of. Trust me, I didn't want to put parenthood down there, but I couldn't think of anything at the top of my head. Anyway, I'm hoping to drive the point of what really should be moving America right now and what we are lacking to see in both us and our abilities to be leaders and inspirers.
